Aerosol painting is one form of spray painting; it leaves a smooth, even coat, unlike many traditional rolled and brushed paints. Graffiti artists are known to use spray paint because the medium is quick, permanent, and portable.
This mural responds to the excitement and joy the Beach Community shared about the opening of a new space to play, build new memories together and see a splash of colour in an urban landscape. These were shared during 16 hours of art-based programming and engagement with children and youth.
These loving strawberries offer a gift of wellbeing to the downtown Barrie community. The strawberry, the first fruit of summer, offers hope and the promise of new possibilities.
The design was inspired through a process of reconnecting with ancestral Ashkenazi Jewish plant medicine. Berries featured prominently in the materia medica of traditional Ashkenazi herbal healers. Art is a healing practice; through my art, I am giving new life to the folk healing practices of my forebears.

As part of #ArtworxTO – WATERMARKED is an experimental mural project commissioned by Mural Routes for the Port Union Village Common Park in Toronto [Scarborough]. Rain Activated Paint was used in this design with elements that will only appear when it rains.
This section of the cycle track stretches North from the bridge over the 401 on both the East and West side to just south of Auto Mall Drive on Conlins Road.
This cycle track project was organized by StreetARToronto. The theme was dissolved from community engagement and feedback surveys conducted by StreetARToronto within the Meadoway and Conlins Road communities.

Toner created “Nelson Spotlight” for the 2021 Nelson International Mural Festival. The piece features Streetcar #23, the Hume Hotel (before it’s renovation), the Courthouse, and Touchstones Museum.
Located in the parking lot facing side of Dr. Kelly Davidoff Family Dentistry, Bacon used his spare paint from “Harmony” to create this quick piece.

Montreal-based artist Dodo Ose painted this mural on the side of Civic Auto for the 2022 Nelson International Mural Festival.

Found under the bridge just east of the Lawrence and McCowan intersection Elicser Elliott, a local artist, painted this massive part graffiti, part abstract portrait mural in 2018. The upper half of the mural shows ten figures sitting in a tree-filled area. Some listening, perhaps to nature, or perhaps to the figure in the middle…
Robyn Lightwalker’s ‘Chickadee’ Bell Box displays the fun and liveliness of the chickadee, a bird local to this Bell Box’s location. This Box features a chickadee sitting atop a branch, which covers a neon pink expanding flower. The Bell Box’s background, dark blue with neon green dots, creates an exciting atmosphere for this hedge-backed area.
Artist’s Statement: “I created this project for Sentier Cultural in Gatineau, QC. The mural focused on paying tribute to the significance of women in the textile industry and the working class neighborhood that still exists in that sector of old Hull today.”
Artist’s Statement: “This multi-wall mural was painted in Nelson, BC for the Nelson International Mural Festival. Entitled ‘Soul Terrain’, this was my ode to the mountains of British Colombia seen through my filter as an artist, exploring a semi-traditional landscape scene with transparency and vivid color work.”
Artist’s statement: “This mural design entitled ‘The River Keepers’ is meant to symbolize the proximity of Ontario and Quebec as these two provinces are connected by way of the Ottawa river. The local community is very much an amalgamation of residents from these provinces and this mural is meant to commemorate that connection.
This pink-background Bell Box features geometric and abstract shapes to liven up the boulevard of 421 Markham. This design expands across the unique double-Bell Box configuration at this intersection, featuring one large Bell Box immediately next to a smaller, rectangular signal box-size structure. Rubik’s cubes, mono-colour 3-D shapes and abstract shapes fly over green triangles and blue streaks, which give the appearance of a geometric forest resting on the bottom of both structures that make up this Bell Box.
The Glorified is a beautiful, largely pink mural painted on the side of a signal box for the Outside the Box project funded by StreetARToronto. Using spray paint and stencils, Mural Routes artist Monica Wickeler painted two black and green figures playing leapfrog. The background is a fantastic display of pinks, blues and yellows that wrap around to the back of the mural.

This mural is located in the Postcard Restaurant of the Best Western Hotel of the Toronto skyline surrounded by a vibrant sunset. The CN Tower features a light display using RGB strip lights creating a light show for the customers to enjoy.
Futura (2021) a vibrant and innovative mural activation by Andre Kan serves as a significant landmark at The Assembly Park Studios in the City of Vaughan. His geometric shapes build upon one another creating a sense of interconnection, and reminding us how we are all connected in this world. Through the significance of cause and effect, this energetic, multilayered landscape is his abstract interpretation of the city’s unique future – a high-spirited dynamic blueprint of various forms coming together. Unified, bold, and in harmony, this architectural piece depicts a number of structural components and signifies the importance of creating a foundation that can be built beyond itself.
