Walls for All
Advocacy Programs
Since October 2022, Mural Routes and East End Arts have worked on a project that challenges the status quo in the street art world called Walls for All. This project aims to build a more equitable, accessible, and inclusive street art sector for all gender marginalized artists, while also helping to build a network and/or support group of muralists who share similar experiences and struggles.
Community Building Programs
Introduction to Mural Art is a free visual art learning program for all ages and abilities. Participants learn basic art, design, and mural-making skills from professional artists, gaining the skills and confidence to participate in public art projects in their communities.
Piece by Piece: Mosaics for Seniors provides an opportunity for participating seniors to improve their mental health and concentration skills through mosaic making.
With other sector partners, we host networking events that provide opportunities for artists, arts organizations, mural producers and the larger community to connect and exchange.
Professional Development Programs
Mural Art Career Development is an intensive program for emerging mural artists and project managers. The 60-hour curriculum encompasses a wide range of relevant topics, from discussions of administrative fundamentals to hands-on practice with various mediums.
The Wall Art Learning Series features individual workshops designed to equip emerging and mid-career artists and managers working in mural art, to deepen their understanding of the field of mural art and gain practical skills for career success.
The National Mural Symposium is a professional development and networking event for mural artists, administrators and mural producers to teach, learn, share and explore current trends and challenges in the field of mural art.
