ASYL PETRA (altar no.19)

MR Circle: Evond Blake (MEDIAH) Completed: 2021

“ASYL PETRA is a trans-dimensional portal intended to emit LIGHT and blessings of peace to the surrounding Beltline communities. The brown and beige tones were inspired by geological rock formations while the dynamic linework is intended to be ‘experiential’ in the sense that everybody sees something different based
on their own experience. The title of the piece includes the Greek word ‘Petra’ which is defined as “stone or rock”. The towering artwork depicts a strong, formidable, unshakeable bedrock foundation of safety and security that can only be provided by the LIGHT.”
