Macaws specifically popular as companion parrots. Through these difficult and uncertain times it seems we could all use a companion.
I have photographed a Calgary artist [Simone Saunders] with her textile work. Her work is especially important these days on a global scale, but I am also hoping to utilize this opportunity with BUMP in order to bring attention and support to one of my peers in the Calgary art scene. The overall composition plays off of the form of Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa with a modern subject.

This work is an exploration of the psychology of colour, its powerful effects on the human body and mind, holding space for much needed mindfulness and to remind us all to pause and BREATHE.
The communication of this work serves as a direct alert, conveying a message of urgency and inspiring action. Simultaneously, it fosters emotional bonds with these endangered species, reminding us of the beauty and fragility of our natural world.

Tigers are revered as guardians and divine spirits and symbolize courage and power in Korean folklore and myth.
Lucas is meant to send uplifting messages to anyone passing by; the pink electricity symbolizes this energy and positivity. Anyone can pose in the black cutout, take a photo and see themselves getting energy from the mural. The wall also has a heart symbolizing happiness.
Portal Maker creates new land masses, suggesting an abundance in life and our capacity to return to the ecosystem that allows for human life to exist.
The woman on the mural represents Mother Nature, she has
huge wings behind her back made out of plants, and she talks to the birds sitting on her hands. She is surrounded by golden sunlight and it looks like she is almost glowing.
