Mural Routes will be offering one WALS workshop per month from January to June. Full lineup to be announced soon!

Funding Murals

What: A creative approach to funding options for mural artists– this session will explore funding streams, grant writing, and approaching prospective clients.

Who: This session is intended for emerging and mid-career mural artists or project managers interested in securing resources to complete mural projects.

The workshop will be led by Linda Plater, Coordinator for the Village of Islington BIA, Toronto’s Village of Murals. Over the past 10 years the BIA has coordinated the creation of 27 murals – 15,000 square feet of outdoor art transforming the area into an outdoor gallery. Linda will facilitate conversations about the funding process while sharing her experience in grant applications, working with the City of Toronto and local business communities.

When: Thursday, January 19th, 6:00-8:30pm

Where: Bluffs Gallery, 1859 Kingston Rd., Toronto

Registration: $25 for Mural Routes members or Scarborough Arts members, $30 for non-members. Register below. Contact natalie@muralroutes.ca with any questions.
