WALS: The Business of Being an Artist

The Wall Art Learning Series (WALS) continues with The Business of Being an Artist!

What: A hands-on workshop for anyone interested in making a living from their art, with particular focus on mural art. The class will cover organizational tactics, financial management, personal branding, and more. Led by Melissa Bessey, an artist, writer, and PR/media professional.

When: Tuesday, November 22nd, 6:00-8:30pm

Where: Bluffs Gallery, 1859 Kingston Rd., Toronto

About the workshop leader: With over 10 years of experience as a freelance journalist and publicist based in Toronto, Melissa Bessey is the owner of Media Allure Communications and a champion of arts & culture, who was named the 2014 International Woman of Achievement for Arts & Culture. Melissa studied Material Art & Design at OCADU, has managed several art galleries in Toronto and is a working visual artist, styling and arts instructor who juggles her artistic practice with being an active business owner and arts entrepreneur.

This workshop is being held in partnership with Scarborough Arts.
