In partnership with Telus Painting the Pembina 2.0 was launched. Same as in 2020, each business or person that donated over $20 has their name on a plaque. This time we raised an extra $1300 for each of the 3 Pembina Schools for their Arts Program. The mural itself is an acronym – Each letter contains pieces of the town as it is or historically that correlates with the letter. The humming bird represents Telus, and the snail shows a slower pace of life. The letters were brush painting, the critters aerosols. Again I am honored to have such a supportive community that helps me realize these projects.
A little know fact about bison is that when a thunderstorm is coming they will turn towards the storm, walk into it and thus have to bear the brunt of the storm in a shorter time. They face adversity head on and pull together. I love this metaphor and used it in a way to represent the spirit of the town. In the ‘storm’ design are hundreds of little fingerprints from local children and supporters.
‘Perpetual Freedom’ is my contribution to the large-scale mural project entitled “A Future Without Oppression”. My mural – is alongside several murals by femme artists which span Baldwin Street in its entirety. Thank you to Serena Purdy, Curtia Wright & Jai Smith as well as @start_streetarttoronto and Friends of Kensington Market for facilitating, organizing and reaching out to me to partake in this wonderful event. I’m happy to have been a part of beautifying a lively community like Kensington Market!!!
The Dance Together Festival (August 2021) transformed Mimico Square in Amos Waites Park into a vibrant dance floor mural. The mural will be onsite through October 2021.

KJ Bit Collective partnered with StreetARToronto to transform this community laneway into a giant canvas of graffiti and mural art. KJ Bit organized 75 artists to paint garages in two live-paint jams. The initiatives were well supported by local residents who now enjoy their revitalized laneway. KJ Bit are Jieun June Kim and Erika James.

Bee Connected captures the theme of bees pollinating flowers as a source of connection between plants. Bees visit 50 to 100 flowers during one collection trip, creating an invisible link from one to the next. They are the source of so much beauty, as well as nutrients. Every peony, every pepper, every tulip, every tomato. These tiny winged critters do so much for our planet. I wanted to give them some recognition, while making people think about the stunning creatures that they are.
Bell Box Mural Project, Ward 3, New Toronto, in collaboration with Lakeshore Arts. Wondering what all the hands are doing? They relate to the industrial past of the New Toronto neighbourhood. Campbell’s Soup (tomato), Good Year (tire), Anaconda Copper and Brass (pipe) , Continental Can (tin) and others called this area home and made it an epicentre of industry in the early 20th century.
The Utility Box Stories project – artwork wrapped onto three utility boxes – explores the story through original artwork and historical photos. The artwork envisioned will beautify and re-vitalise the Chinatown neighbourhood by helping to create a sense of historic place as well as discourage graffiti. The traffic signal boxes are located at Centre Street S. & 2nd Avenue, and 3rd Avenue, Calgary, Alberta.
In 2020, Fung Ling Feimo was awarded a Community-Initiated Public Art Microprojects grant for Utility Box Stories. The project addresses the erasure of local histories and seeks to explore the social intersections and cultural intersectionalities that make up Calgary. The project seeks to replace existing images on the Canton Block utility box to reflect rather than erase the BIPOC who were/are here.
This Mural, located at the Botwood Kinsmen Public Library, celebrates the many writers of Newfoundland & Labrador and their readers.

This series of murals along Dundas Street West created as part of a cultural exchange celebrates the relationship between Canada and Chile and, in particular the cities of Toronto and Valparaiso.
These artworks share first person perspective stories that speak to the rich ongoing history of the site as home to many diverse plant and animal species and cultural communities, beginning with the Indigenous peoples of Tkaronto and Turtle Island. The Lansdowne Underpass Art Project creates a collaborative artwork that honours this site by telling stories of those who have and continue to live on, play on, build community on, struggle on, learn from, grow in, paint, immigrate to, contribute to, and tend to this land.
To aboriginial peoples living by the water, the Lake Ontario salmon was sacred and an important part of their diet. The vision of the spirits of salmon on the box offersa reminder of the lake that lies nearby, and a moment to admire the magnificence of these creatures, who are returning home.
This mural depicts a view from above – on one side there is a window washer cleaning the windows of a tall building, while on the other side there is a blue jay observing the window washer in action.
This mural replaced a romantic colonial scene with imagery that reflects the Indigenous roots of the area as well as the present urban community and vision for a sustainable future.
