The Wisdom Mural Project, installed on August 5th 2021, is a call to action to care for our planet. It was a two-year long journey, which sought to understand the depth to which ancestral teachings from Canada and around the world could strengthen our connection with and respect for Mother Nature.

This mural was not a commission, was the vision and realization of Claudia Salguero and possible thanks to the support of Ontario Arts Council, Ottawa Community Foundation, City of Ottawa and Ottawa Community Housing. She worked in collaboration with Mentee Emerging Algonquin Artist, Claire Brascoupé, elder knowledge keepers from five continents: China, Zambia, Colombia, India, Iraq, Jamaica, New Zealand, Algonquin, Inuit and Metis Elders, and 58 volunteer members from the community.
