Piece by Piece: Mosaics for Seniors – Cedar Ridge Creative Centre
Mural Routes is pleased to present the latest series in our mosaic workshops for seniors, A City of Toronto Cultural Hotspot Signature Project.
For this program participants will work in person at the Cedar Ridge Creative Centre with experienced mosaic mural artist Cristina Delago to create one of a kind mosaic art pieces. In this program, participants develop mural-making skills by working on a small mosaic keepsake for themselves as well as a mosaic panel to contribute to a large community mural project.
Start Date: Wednesday, September 16th, 2026
End Date: Friday, October 16th, 2026
Time: Wednesdays & Fridays, 9:30am-12:00pm
Format: 10 sessions, 2.5 hours each
Location: Cedar Ridge Creative Centre 225 Confederation Dr, Scarborough, ON M1G 1B2

Participating Seniors in this program will receive:
- All the art materials and tools required to engage in each workshops;
- 10 arts workshops with our talented lead artist to learn new creative techniques
- A personalized mosaic artwork to take home
- Contributing a panel/piece to a larger community installation of mosaic artwork
- Onsite support from Mural Routes staff during workshops
- A final culminating event after workshops are complete to celebrate all the participants and what they have accomplished – light refreshments included
- And a unique opportunity to be a part of a vibrant community of creative elders and give back to the community through artistic creation!
