2020 has shown us that mural artists can be looked to as the cultural “First Responders” in Uncertain Times. Mural Routes hosted this free online event, open to all registrants, that took place July 29, 2020, to discuss the challenges and responses for mural artists during the Covid-19 pandemic. The discussions focused on artists’ responses to current issues during uncertain times. The discussions centered around alternative ways to source funding, murals as responses, and how to quickly execute projects. A round-table discussion with Mural Routes’ Program Manager Jenneen Beattie and panelists: Tara Dorey, Javid Jah, and Andrea Curtis.
