Mural Routes is excited to announce the next workshop in our Wall Art Learning Series (WALS), Mural Painting at the Toronto Zoo!

June 3-5th, 2016

Get behind-the-scenes, hands on painting experience with muralist Allan Bender over the course of three days of workshops. On Friday, participants will tour the landscape exhibit murals at the zoo and learn about Allan’s years of experience. On Saturday and Sunday, participants will have the valuable opportunity to be part of a team under Allan’s leadership, helping paint a landscape /environment mural on site at the Toronto Zoo. Don’t miss this unique opportunity!

  • For: Emerging or Mid Career artists, ages 18+
    • Must have some painting experience working with acrylic/latex paint
  • Dates: June 3rd-5th
    • Intro and Zoo Murals Tour – Fri June 3rd (1-4pm)
    • Painting Workshops – Sat June 4th (10am-4pm), and Sun June 5th (10am-4pm)
    • Note: Those who register are expected to attend all three sessions.
  • Cost: $95 ($75 for Mural Routes members)
    • Cost covers 3 days of workshops AND 3 days of zoo admission (regularly $23/day)
