With this piece, Sweetman wanted to pay tribute to Rob Stewart, the Sharkwater filmmaker who passed away while making the sequel.
This design is an homage to a dancer.
The Accordion Player is a work inspired by one of my favourite American artists, Ben Shahn. The accordion is a universal instrument, used in many cultures throughout the world. I hope he will engage viewers to hum a tune, sing along or tap their feet in unison with the music.
