La thématique des œuvres aux Habitations Jeanne-Mance est la nature et la végétation. Cette direction artistique a été élaborée avec la Corporation d’habitation Jeanne-Mance afin de créer un axe d’intervention cohérent avec les autres améliorations du site, permettant notamment de se positionner comme le cœur vert du centre-ville. Cette deuxième murale de la série Les saisons montréalaises illustre un paysages contemporain représentant une scène d’hiver. Des lignes longitudinales traversent la fresque de 1400 pieds2 pour créer un effet de vélocité, clin d’œil à la circulation rapide du boulevard de Maisonneuve, tant cycliste qu’automobile. Au cœur de murale se retrouvent notamment quelques-uns des résidents des Habitations Jeanne-Mance.
Corinne Lachance et Caroline Simard, étudiantes en art, ont assisté les artistes pour la réalisation de cette murale.

The given theme for all the artistic projects at the Habitations Jeanne-Mance was “nature and vegetation”. This artistic guideline was developed with the collaboration of the Corporation d’habitation Jeanne-Mance as part of a global improvement plan that aims to position the complex as the green heart of the downtown area. This second mural of the serie Les saisons montréalaises (The Montreal Seasons) depicts a contemporary landscape highlighting a dramatic winter scene. Horizontal lines cut across thie 1400 square feet mural, giving the illusion of velocity, a nod to the speeding car and bicycle traffic on De Maisonneuve Boulevard. A few of the residents of the Habitations Jeanne-Mance are depicted at the heart of the mural.
Corinne Lachance and Caroline Simard, both art students, assisted the artists throughout the completion of the mural.
