Sail On and Fare Well

MR Circle: Rob Matejka Completed: 2009

This 12 x 30-foot mural is on the south-facing end wall of Shahab Plaza. It depicts life’s natural cycles and the human journey, incorporating a flow of figures, birds, fish and natural elements swirling within its borders. At the heart of the mural is a boat that sails through the tide, from day to night, accompanied and surrounded by all of life’s forces.

Sail On and Fair Well was created in the fall of 2009, supported by a grant from the City of Toronto through the Graffiti Transformation Program.

This mural was removed between 2016 and 2017.
