Completed: July 10 2020Sandeep Johal created “One Day” on the side of the parkade for the 2020 Nelson International Mural Festival.
“Sandeep Johal is a Canadian visual artist whose bold, colourful forms and intricate black and white linework is aesthetically and conceptually inspired by her South Asian heritage. Her art practice is an expression of her social and cultural concerns, particularly gender justice. Sandeep has worked on projects with the Vancouver Art Gallery, Burrard Arts Foundation, and Vancouver Mural Festival and her work has been featured in several print and online publications. She currently lives and works in Vancouver with her husband and son.”
