Acrylic and Latex on Concrete
The mural “A Sense of Place” by Frank Perna 1997 was painted outside the Kennedy Subway Station in Toronto as a result of a community safety audit. The purpose was to create a space that would increase the comfort level of pedestrians and commuters. Frank Perna’s mural explores the concept of a sense of place for community in the natural world accessed through technology and the racial diversity found in Toronto through six main surfaces.
Artist: Frank Perna assisted by Scott Clatney, 1997.
