2025 Health and Safety Training for Mural Artists

In partnership with StreetARToronto, Mural Routes is offering subsidized practical training in Health and Safety for Mural Artists. We are offering three types of courses, Working at Heights, Scissor Lift and Boom Lift training.

Working at Heights provides workers with the required knowledge for working at heights safely with a focus on ladder safety. Students will obtain hands-on use in connecting different types of fall protection equipment and inspecting the components of selected fall protection equipment.

Scissor Lift provides workers with the required knowledge for working at heights safely with a focus on self-propelled elevated work platforms ie. scissor lifts. The training is divided up into half theory and half hands-on practical. The use of fall protection equipment is also reviewed.

Boom Lift provides workers with the required knowledge for working at heights safely with a focus on self-propelled elevated work platforms ie. articulating boom lifts. The training is divided up into half theory and half hands-on practical. The use of fall protection equipment is also reviewed.

This training is provided by STS Canada, a Ministry of Labour approved provider.

Please note a valid Working at Heights is a prerequisite for signing up for our Scissor Lift and Boom Lift workshops. We recommend obtaining scissor lift training prior to boom lift training.
