This mural was painted on June 20, 2020 by artist and ecologist Stacey Kinder. Stacey Kinder studies ecology – the way organisms interact with their environment. Her work celebrates local wildlife in hopes to connect humans with the ecosystems that surround them. Just as healthy ecosystems rely on a range of diverse wildlife, the Port Union community is a mosaic of unique people.
Moths are important pollinators and a food source for a range of wildlife such as birds and bats. The first step to improving and conserving wildlife is getting to know our wild neighbours!
