The new Michal and Renata Hornstein Pavilion for Peace was inaugurated in 2016, becoming Montreal Museum of Fine Arts’ fifth pavilion. Two levels are dedicated to The Studios Art & Education Michel de la Chenelière which are devoted exclusively to the Museum’s educational activities and exhibitions. In this context MU was invited to create a playful and educative art installation in the s2 level cafeteria.
This immense mural pays homage to the Museum’s encyclopedic collection by representing its major holdings in a playful and colorful way.
The concept was developed by MU’s art educator Isabelle Duguay, under the artistic direction of Elizabeth-Ann Doyle.
