I'm an OCADU grad who decided a few years ago that community art was the way to really get involved with neighbourhoods and engage. Although I study the dark sky and create drawings to exhibit in private and public art galleries, I find mural projects to be the most rewarding of all, because there is generosity and sustainability in these projects. It is really possible to help people and I really want to give what I can through creativity. I also work at Toronto Public Library in the Merril and Osborne Special Collections of Science Fiction and Early Children's books. I've been a successful candidate in the StreetARToronto "Outside the Box!" project for the last two years (2015, 2016) and have been a team member on large projects such as The Henderson Bridge Mural in the City of Markham in 2014. I participated in the huge "Together" Telus Social Rally Mural of 2015 in Scarborough. Most recently I worked on The Coxwell Laneway Mosaic with Cristina Delago as part of her great team this past summer 2016. I am presently completing a design for a large project in the Town of Richmond Hill where I reside - The CN Elgin Underpass Project - which hopefully will receive funding in the near future. As an artist, I love serving the community through mural making and it makes me very happy when the results beautify and make a difference in neighbourhoods.
